Title: Pup's first hunt
Post by: EastWaViking on October 18, 2009, 09:23:57 AM: I took my lab out for her first hunt today. I was hoping to get a duck or two off of the pond, but none came in so her first attempt at a real bird retrieve was a goose. She did pretty well, but couldn't really figure out how to pick them up. I now have some goose wings for her to practice with. Here are a couple pictures, it was a fun morning!

just curious, how old is she, and how much does she weigh? Just trying to get an idea how fast mine will grow up. :tup:

11 months old and 65 - 70 lbs.

I fall apart with joy and pride every single time my dogs are retrieving to me. I mean to the point of giddyness... I get a lot of grief from the judges when this happens at hunt tests, but who cares. Ain't nothing as awesome. Your pup looks AWESOME!
