What would you rather shoot a big mule deer or a big whitetail especially on opening day.
-
Mule, I've never shot one.
-
Well, if you're comparing the two in the pics I'd take that Whitey everytime. That is a pig, any story to go along?
-
The mule deer is 27 wide straight across with triple eye guards on one side. The whitetail is 26 wide and a 7x5 that is heavy horned both opening day.
-
Both of those animals are huge...did that happen today? Who shot those? I'm assuming you didn't shoot them both.
-
Well if he was hunting the Idaho/Wa border he could do both. I'd normally take a big muley everytime over a whitie, but in this case, that whitetail
-
Please tell me there not public land washington bucks on opening day? I know they both can be killed here...but my god on opening day!
-
That mule deer is full body so I'm guessing ....somewhere on the reservation.
-
I would take the Muley every time over the Whitetail. Gotta love those Mule Deer!!
-
Muley for me please. Mark
-
That whitetail is a stud! No question between those two........WT!
-
I've seen that muley genetic in the Kettle Crest a lot. In fact, I have a shed that looks practically identical.
-
I'd take the whitetail :P
-
can we please get the story or stories! Oh...I'd take the whitetail.
-
Between the two bucks in the Pic, I'd take that whitetail! That friggin whitey is a pig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
by the way.....hell of a year(with your moose)
-
WOW! THat would be a tough call for me...I"d probably him and Haw so long they'd BOTH escape!!! Nice Del... give your kids some Kudos from us!
-
I'd take the doe :chuckle:I did have the tag :IBCOOL:

I prefer mulies but that WT is nice.. Can we have a story please?
-
this is a picture of the mule deer
-
Sorry somehow got the whitetail picture on it;s own post.
-
nice bucks, I am a mulie guy till the grave but that is a dang nice whitetail. Congrats to the hunters of those great bucks.
-
awesome bucks. Lets get more info though.
-
i would shoot the one i saw first they are both great deer! congrats
-
Both deer are outstanding. :)
-
:yike: Both bucks are hogs!
-
Those are some monsters! Any more info on them!
-
I take the Whitetail. I had a muley once and it was tough to eat. I hear they're only good if taken out of the southeast grazing on farmland.
-
whichever one stepped infront of my rifle first.
however.,,,.,.,.,,. if they were both in the feild i would probably take a mulie
-
When I am out deer hunting, I want a Mule deer buck. That whitetail in the pic is to me more rare to find one that big. Though 27'' muley's dont grow on trees, they are around more than a 26'' whitetail. Both bucks are just awesome.
-
I'd take a Mule Deer every time. I wouldn't give two *censored*s to hunt Whitetails.
-
either one they both are huge i dont think id be picky lol
-
Great job! I'm guessing those are from SE WA though... the angles of those forks on the muley look like a trait I've seen a lot down there....

Normally I would shoot the Muley...However this year I am going after Late season Whitetails. :chuckle: So I would shoot the Whitetail this year...Next year in Wyoming, or Utah....It would have to be the Muley. Nice animals!!!
