Title: Should have stayed in bed
Post by: trotterlg on October 19, 2009, 06:31:49 PM
Started yesterday, I was getting things together to call outside of Ellensburg, could not find my sitting mat, so I made up a new one with some camo plastic tarp and foam, then I went for a few drinks with some Australians I work with, woke up with a headache, got in the truck and two miles out remembered I had forgotten my sticks, not worth going home for, then remembered I left my mouth call on the Piano, but I had my electric one, so kept going.  Got to the calling spot and the weather didn't look too good, but still OK.  Parked the truck and walked to my spot, hung the call in a bush and moved back a bit and sat down, let things settle for a while and then started calling, or tried, batteries in the remote were dead, then it started raining really hard and I got soaked just getting back to the truck.  No call, no sticks, I was wet and all the Coyotes were still alive and well.  Just not a good start for the season I guess.  Larry
