I am new to Western Washington from the Eastside for college at UW. I was wondering if there was anywhere to go upland bird hunt over here? How accessable are certain places?

Unfortunately, the only lowland upland is via the W. WA Pheasant release sites. I hunted these when I lived near a bunch of them near Ferndale. See the WDFW website.
Another option is forest grouse hunting in the National Forests or on private timberlands that allow access.

alright thanks! so it sounds like ducks and geese are pretty much my only option then.. unless i want to go home and hunt? o well! still find some hunting and definately fishing over here!

the pheasant release sites aren't bad.... the birds are highly pressured...but you can still harvest some.... i run up to ferndale a few times a month to eat at sonic...and we hunt the lake terrell unit and the bp unit...

TEX-X thanks for the info! it sounds like the pheasant and ducks and geese are where its at around lake terrell

There are three pheasant release sites between Carnation and Monroe, east of Seattle. I've hunted them all for many years. However, it costs $90 for a tag, so I'm not hunting western WA. pheasants this year.
