Does anyone know why WDFW decided to make a couple of the westide units antlerless only for late archery? Mostly hunting cows anyhow during the late season but was wondering if anyone knows why the change this year. Are populations still good?

Brother, I believe that is exactly why it has turned 'cow only'. The cow herd is above what it should be, so concentration needs to be applied to the cows, and turned down on the horn porn. Hopefully it won't stay this way next year- let's get out there and thin the herd!

I'm going to try to do my part! A cow elk would be a trophy to me...and good eatin too.

Most people hunting late archery for some reason didnt/couldnt close the deal during early seaon. First cow that steps out gets a Gold Tip Prohunter, tipped with a Slicktrick.
