misery loves company so i just wanted to see. i must have hiked 100 miles during general this year. hunted every day of the season and saw about 30 does, all with no boyfriends :bash: oh well late season ends on my birthday this year so maybe i was meant to shoot a birthday buck
-
I didn't, but I barely put in an effort this year. My goal was to get my kids (5 and 7) to come out with me and they did. There's always the late season for me to get serious.
There's nothing more frustrating than going out and working your butt off, then coming back empty handed. Especially when you talk to somebody esle who got one while driving down the road on the way to their hunting spot on opening day. :bash:
Good luck on the late hunt.

i didn't get one in the early muzzle but didn't see anything to make me want to use my tag before the late hunt when the toads come out to play

this season was the hardest ive ever had finding deer, hunting season or not. i can always track down a deer (well apparently not always) it was a little frustrating to say the least, especially with the amount of time i spend in the woods year round. i guess thats why its hunting and not shopping. i did see some nice elk, a little bobcat, the worlds luckiest coyote (thought about taking the points but i was in to some deer) and a little pygmy owl let me get pretty close to him. i also had a doe circle round behind me after i followed her into the woods and she walked darn near right up to me and stared at me for about 2 min (why couldn't she of had horns) and a fawn almost ran me over, once it realized i was there and it ran the wrong way it just kinda started at me with that goofy fawn look on her face for about a minute. it was a good season and i lost 10 pounds so i guess it just helped firm me up for elk.

I din't get a muley, but have the late season to look for whiteys. saw more moose than mule deer this year, all bulls. put in the miles as well, passed a nice 3x3 'cause I saw his bigger brother 1st but never saw him again.

still waiting for my season, late muzzy..Momma hasnt scored yet, late season hoping she will
-
Well, I didn't get one..yet! My younger son got 2 since he drew a special tag. My husband and older boy are muzzy hunting and didn't get to go the early season..but, I would be happy if I don't get one and my older boy does.
But..we all still have the late hunt.
Good luck to everyone else who still has a chance. Now, is the time to scout..and get on the late hunt ;)

Isn't it a bit premature for this thread, I believe there are still hunts available for everyone except maybe muzzy hunters?
-
Just took the girls down to the river to look for otters, and saw a buck chasing a doe. Another one survived.
-
Yeah, I can't answer this yet as I am still planning to hunt the 4-day late blacktail season.

Even ML's still have late season left.

Well I haven't tagged out yet. Recent back surgery has kept me from hiking too much. Oh well. I at least I got out with all my buddies. Now trying to decide to either go late Blacktail down south or late Whitetail up NE.
-
I didn't see hardly anything for deer this year until I got it done on day 7. Can happen anytime.

With the amount of big blacktail that have hit the ground there can't be many left, better head to the NE :chuckle:

Have not hunted deer yet this season...

I haven't either Ray

I'm not done yet, for years I wished I had save my Tag for the Late Season but had to fill the frezer, now the kids do that. It's my turn to Hunt just for the fun of it.

My dad and I have not connected yet, though usually do on the late hunt. My wife smacked a nice 4x5 BT on the 30th so at least we are not skunked.
