Title: Beretta Extrema2
Post by: millirad on November 01, 2009, 10:25:11 PM
I recently bought a Beretta Extrema2 w/kick off. I fired it Saturday at my local range. I hit 94 out 100 right off the bat. The only problem was the failure was the bolt not locking back 97 percent of the time. I was shooting the the Walmart Winchester Universal loads. I realize that these loads are probably not sufficient to break in the weapon properly. I will use a heavier load next time. As side from from that, I really enjoyed my new toy. Now all I need to do is try it on some waterfowl. I've never been duck hunting but for some reason I have the itch to try it.

If you don't get an answer here try over at shotgunworld.com in the Beretta section, you can get all the info you ever wanted over there about shotguns.

Yes, I was please with the fit. I normally shoot that with my Browning XT. I didn't even pattern the Extrema2. I figured if I did it would just screw me up. I also shoot nothing but full choke. This way I get a more immediate feedback from the break pattern as to how the gun is shooting. When you hit it dead on you will know. Another shooter at the range recommended the using of a full choke and I thank him every chance I get. I therefore recommend this others. Especially if they are stuck at hitting 12-16/25. Bare in mind I also shoot almost every weekend.
