Title: Cougars!
Post by: Elkslayer on November 04, 2009, 06:06:12 PM
So the regs say you cannot shoot spotted kittens or a female with spotted kittens. Im not interested in the kittens but would take the female. Would you guys say these kittens are spotted or not!

My 7 and 4 year olds both says spotted.  seems like a pretty unbiased oppinion to me.

They look spotted to me, however each kitten accounts for a lot of elk & deer in their lifetime....so.... :dunno:

Great pics!

Pretty iffy on the spotted question.  I don't think in the field that a person would be able to determine that they were spotted.

Not distinctly spotted but indeed "blotchy".  Low light judgement call.  Broad daylight, I'd pass.   :twocents:

Wait until just before the season ends, then round up some buddies with enough tags and whack-em and stack-em.

1 deer/elk per week = 52 deer/elk per year x 3 = 156 deer/elk per year.  Wait a week for the blotches to fall off, then get two of your buddies and hunt them sumbitches down. :hunter:

They may eat (1) deer or elk per week, but how many do they kill???   A friend of mine found (3) dead  deer under one tree - Lincoln Creek area I believe.  Guess who was sitting 20 feet up guarding them.  He thought the Tom might still be hungry so he fed him a lead supplement......  :chuckle:

I see spots unfortunately though :bash: :bash: :bash:

Blotches or spots...call them what you want...you know what the game dept. would call them......spots.
