Great hunt. Killed this 48 1/2 mountain goat on the last day of the season.
-
Nice going. Good goat, is that right horn longer than the left?
-
I'd call that second pic "Hang on!". Burly goat man. Welcome to the site...any story to it?
-
Very nice! WElcome to the site, any story? Also, did you use an outfitter?
-
awesome

Awesome goat! I don't think its a WA record but I wouldn't of passed him up. Nice going.
-
Nice goat. Welcome to the site. Last time I looked the WA. state record with a rifle was 54 2/8", Archery was 50 0/8" and BP was 51 6/8"..........I'd still shoot that one in a heartbeat and feel damn good about it. Congrats
-
sweet, good job. Love seeing these OIL tagholders being successful.
-
great goat. Nice intro to the site. love the tied to the mountain pic
-
Congrats on the dandy Mountain Goat! It will make book, just not #1. Looks like a good candidate for a lifesize :chuckle:
-
The min. score to make the WA.state record book is 42 0/8 rifle, Archery 40 0/8, BP 41 0/8. It will make the WA. book and it would make a nice full body mount. :chuckle:

that is a killer goat wow and last day man we need a story bad! did you know of him or find him last day? etc also someone on hear will probably know what the record is and that is a green score he will shrink a bit also so he would have to better than the record by a bit to have a chance at number one i will go top 6 just a all around great goat
-
48 4/8" would put him around 50 or 51 for rifle....not bad, not bad at all.

Thanks for all the great comments. It took 13 years to draw this tag and Bumping Unit was my first choice. Due to my work schedule I was only able to hunt about 10 days out of the 61 day season. We saw lots of goats and some real giants, but just couldn't get to them. I talked to Ty Brown from Rugged Class Outfitters and he was absolutely outstanding in his information about where to look. Never did hire a quide. I found this goat with a nanny and two kids on Timberwolf Mountain, where I hadn't seen a goat before. He was about 100 yrds (straight down) when I shot him and then rolled another 400 yrds. down the mountain. I tied him to the tree while we caped and quartered him. I will be doing a 1/2 life size, coming out of the wall, walking on the rocks mount. It should be really cool. Does anyone know what place he may end up in the Washington record book? He green scores 48 1/2. Right horn is 9" long and left horn is 8 7/8" with 6" bases, approx. 4 1/2 years old. Awesome hunt, I would recommend to anyone. Feel free to call me if you need info on this unit. Good luck in drawing a tag next year!!

Great goat man. That is some incredible mass for a 4 1/2 year old goat. Good genetics there. Very nice and congratulations!!!
-
very nice goat. If he holds the green score, he should rank somewhere close to 50
well done!
-
Congrats on an awesome goat! Not a WA state record, but a great goat all around, no complaining with him. Glad you were able to tag on the last day of the season.
-
Flat out awesome......just hope I get drawn one day!!!

Great looking Goat! I believe that we might of seen him earlier in the year. We were up there for early season bow for elk and saw several there. We camp on the 1500190 Rd on Timberwolf MT. Also saw a few goats out on cash prairie and out towards Burnt Mt.
