im sure this has been covered, but ive been gone for awhile, so what kind of success has been had at Bethel Ridge this season? is it still a sea of orange up there? lol

Was up there from the opener until Thursday. Still crowded but no near as many camps as the past few years. I got a spike on day 2. Didn't see a lot hanging but a few. Cow opener sounded like a shooting gallery.

We hunted "Grouse Prarie" on th eopener and know of 4 spikes that came out of there, other then that, nothing else. We mainly hunted the upper little rattlesnake.

Saw a lot of elk. I passed on a 300 yard shot. I am not comfortable with that distance. My buddy missed his chance at a spike. Our group of 12 got a 6x5, spike, and a cow. Not to bad. We got off the road and really never saw a lot of people in the woods. The roads were busy.

Just got back yesterday, Most of the animals that we saw hanging were Big bulls or cows. Saw A bunch of deer and cows walking around, but no spikes for our camp. A nice flock of turkeys walked through fish flats meadow right in front of me. In short I carried the same 6 rounds in my rifle for the whole season. :dunno:
