Title: phesant around winthrop area???

i was wondering if anyone knew of any areas to go phesant hunting around the  twisp, winthrop areas i have seen some around the grandparents pasture before just wondering if there were more populations some were else?  :IBCOOL:

As far as I know, they are pretty scattered.  I have jumped a few in the sage around Winthrop, but they seem to be scattered.

The only pheasants around here are the ones people release on their private property, never seen any on public land. They don't seem to make it through the winter either.
