I just remembered about a poaching incident that was discussed on here last year and was wondering what ever happened with it.
There was a guy archery hunting for elk from out of state and he killed a bull and left it at the butcher and flew home. If I remember right, supposedly someone reported him for using a rifle and shooting it before shooting time started. The evidence was apparently something to do with the pupil dilation or something......
Anyway, does anyone remember the thread and does anyone know how it ended up. :dunno:

I dont remember that but there was a thread on here in the last few days about how a gamie caught a guy for killing a deer at night by pupil dialation...
its the one about game check stations...
Id really like the see the science behind that...and Id further like to see that fly in a courtroom but Im sure theres something to it!
without a confession induced by this observation...Id say its hard from conclusive...
hell, anyone that has hunted a foggy day in the deep timber on the west side can remember days where ya just about broke out the flashlight at 12 noon...
Ive hunted plenty of days that werent as bright as a full moon night would be... if I killed a deer down in that timber...what would his pupils look like?
If someone started that line of questioning with me I believe Id have to discuss the cause of all that brown surrounding the pupils of his eyes :chuckle:
my :twocents:

Yeah, that thread about game check stations got me to thinking about that thread last year.
