I want some!  The only honkers that I see around here are eating the lawn in front of the building I work in or sitting on the crap lake North of Everett.

Its a sad thing now-a-days with the money running thru peoples hands to lease all this land. I dont even scout anymore cause every feild that has birds will b leased that is just the ways it is. These farmers realize the money to b made and no more public hunting. Its all about the money, off corse i am not saying i wouldnt do the same thing if i was a farmer nowing that i could pull in some extra cash during the winter, maybe i am just really jeleous that i dont have the money it takes to prosper here in moses, but o well the rich and guides can have there fields, i feel way better bagging a limit of birds on public land with no money involved, although i did manage to get access on 350 acres of corn and hay, so we will b bagging a few there until the farmer realizes that there is alot of money to b made.  Ok i am done bitching now.

i totally agree!! it is amazing how much is going to private... soon there will be barely any public land left which is really too bad....  it is amazing what people will do for hunting now....

Freaking eh!!!   :yike:

Man.. that looks like too much fun.  Hopefully I will get some geese soon.

Do you think a .12 Gauge with an Improved Cylinder choke and BB Shot will do the job?

hey why don't you talk to the farmer and trade labor during the summer or whenever he needs it to lock up that 350 with a hunting lease?? I have done it time and time again.. I don't have deep pockets either but a little manual labor goes a long way.

I totaly agree. Luckily my dad is a farmer, just need more geese to fly around here. Found ANOTHER field and again, it's leased. Either the guides have it all or someone like us has it and they never even hunt it. That really gets me

the fields i have access to all have had guides on them befor but the farmers got burned because of what the guides and clients did to their land and when i asked to hunt it they asked me a few questions and said i could. i even offered that everytime i go out they can come along too if they want. but ive done alot of door knocking and meeting the right people.  :dunno:   :twocents:

We've got a lot of land locked up out west by quincy and vicinity.  My buddy at work owns a few fields out there and has connections so we get lots of land we can hunt.  Had fields with thousands of mallards on them last year and we were the only ones with permission

I can't wait for this year. :IBCOOL:
