Title: West side Elk down !

I am exited ,got my first elk :IBCOOL: . No much story to it ,but we did put some hard work . Week of camping and hiking in show ,i almost give up .Last friday went back to Seattle ,get some shower ,then my buddy call me and told me to comeback and hunt last 2 days of season. So i jump in car last sunday ,and we drove to the spot .We came little late ,sun was up ,around 8 am ,we start walking from gate to top ,and around 500 yards from gate we saw small herd ( around 10 heads ) . Boooommm,booom , ,2 elks down ,hunt was over 40 min later :) :IBCOOL: Then as you all know ,hardest part come ,packing 2 elks ,thanks God it was only around 500 yards from gate .

It's a lot of fun I can tell you that. I wouldn't have it any other way. See my thread titled "Got a great bull".

Post by: rover747 on November 20, 2009, 01:41:21 PM: i do bow hunt for deer ,but all my friends use modern rifle ,so reason why i went with rifle for elk ,and no regrets so far :chuckle: Archery should have good success this year too ,because of deep snow . At least it what i think :)) May be i am wrong :dunno:
