Where are you heading? I just got back from the Entiat my friend had a doe tag. 30 mins is all it took and we saw a bunch of deer so that always kicks the fever in,

i know i am. this is my 2nd season and i have not killed one yet but there is hope. i meet with a guy in the morning who owns 400 acres that nobody is allowed to hunt and there is an orchard full of deer that are eating everything in sight. says i can hunt there and that there are 8 or 9 different bucks that come around.
i can't thank the folks from this site that have offered advice and knowledge enough. thanks for taking the time to help the new guy.

I'm getting more anxious and pissed! I had my string re-served a few weeks ago and haven't been able to get my bow tuned in due to weather. It has either been a down pour or blowing 15-50 mph every day since I had my bow worked on. I did get a few minutes a week or so ago but I was shooting 3' high and drove 2 arrows 4" into a tree behind my target. :bash: I got it dialed in with field points but don't want to try it with broadheads with this much wind. I will not go hunting until I have it dead on with broadheads, even if I have to wait for the weather to clear to do it. :bash:

I am psyched out and ready to rock and roll. Spent three hours at Tacoma Sportstmens Club yesterday. Got everything good to go. Screwed on the Broadheads and was hitting the spot out to 60 yards. That's as far as you can shoot into the sand pit there.
Heading out Wednesday around noon for the east side and deer hunting heaven. Private Ranch loaded with deer. YESSSS!!!!!!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOO ready. Got the tree stands hung. Lots of deer coming in, with some nice bucks. My bow is still in tune after early season. Got my insulated stuff ready to go. I feel it in my bones that in a few days I'll be tagging my first deer after 4 years of trying.

Can't wait to get back out, think I'll go drive some roads in Ryderwood and Willapa Hills tomorrow just to see what there is to see.

I am, itchy, nervous etc, after hunting the eastside for Mulies and whitetails on the late hunt i have decided to hunt for a blacktail.
I have not hunted blacktails in 16yrs, have never hunted them with a bow or this late in the year. Have done some scouting in the past few weeks.
Went up to snoqualmie were years ago i rifle hunted, every place i knew of has really changed, who knew trees grew that fast?
I'm gonna stay near home (Marysville), if anybody has any insite or wants to share some info on this area (Snohomish, Skagit, Island counties) you are more than welcome to send me a PM..Or if someone wants some company to help spot/stalk/pack and help them and myself take a deer.
At this point in the season it's tuff to not go over to my place in the northeast but it just wont workout, so blackies here i come..

Gotta work on Wednesday then have a four day weekend. I'll be out on Thanksgiving day until the wife calls to make me come eat turkey dinner. Well hopefully I'll be in before that, deer in hand, but we'll see. I've got some nice bucks coming in. Three that I would shoot opening morning. Good luck to everyone. I hope to see some good pics this weekend.

,,,,Feet??
Not feet, but I know hubby has got an awful itchy caliper release finger! :archer: :chuckle:
He's headed out Turkey-day morning & then if he comes home with an empty truckbed (which sounds bad, but I kinda hope he does ;) ) I'll be dumping the kids off at the grandparents for a Friday afternoon/evening hunt. Then if need be, we'll be out Saturday morning.
Got access to some excellent private property south of town, hung our stands last weekend, hubby had been up a few days prior to that to set some feeders and in that few days alone, something had been chowing down on the feed! A lot of good tracks, a couple scrapes and tons of deer-poo!

I'm really stoked now. I just got back from helping a buddy drag out his late 437 unit rifle permit buck. It was a dandy 3x3 with eye guards. It was an old buck with no top teeth at all. He had a huge swelled neck and he called him in. It was a sweet buck. It was his last day of hunting.
I'm heading out in the morning after I get off my graveyard shift at 0600 hours. I got a few areas in 437 that I'm hunting. I'm very excited to hunt the late season. I have been tagging out in the early season the past couple years and my bows itching to get out there.

Got my Deer, missed my Elk. Leaving tonight till the 8th. Good luck everyone.
-
I'm heading out in the Morning with both tags in hand... Hopefully I can fill one tomorrow. Just doing a day trip and then back up Sunday for another day trip. Then if needed i'll probably take off next Thursday and friday and hunt the weekend also. I'll be done after that! Can't wait until tomorrow.
Good luck everyone!

went out this evening scouting some private property. did not see anything but being out in the woods was awsome. i am ready for the 25th.
-
Good Luck Everybody...I Hope to connect on Turkey Day!
-
do you all think the deer are hitting the peak of the rut yet?? I have been out a lot and not seen a lot of rut activity. It seems they always come in on the days I'm not there (trail cam proof) I hope things get better in the week to come. Good luck

Here I am stuck at work today, and seeing deer on the Hospital grounds and can't hunt them :bash: talk about cruel and inhumane treatment :bash:. I know today is just going to drag on for ever...

Hey Hunterman,
I spent some time in the Ashford area. You should see snow up high maybe 1500 feet. I wasnt able to close the deal on Sat or Sun, so there is atleast one extra out there for you.
