Post by: bornforhorns on November 23, 2009, 12:14:46 PM
Me and a brother in law are thinking about going over to this unit this weekend, does anybody have advice, history of the hunt, pics.?  We are targeting bigger bucks and won't just shoot anything.  They should be in the heigth of the rut.  He'll be the one hunting...I'm along for company.

I can tell you my buddy has a cabin in selkirk and we hunted elk there for 3 days.  Miles and miles of hiking and didn't see anything, elk or deer.  Good luck

I don't know if that's the case, If I had to pick one day to hunt it would be Thanksgiving or a day on either side.  I've found that to be true in the areas I've hunted for the last 20 years.
