Hey everyone, I'm thinking about hunting the kid valley area near toutle for late deer and elk. Would I be wasting my time or would it be worth a shot. I never hunted it before, I did some scouting in there in the summer just before they closed it due to fire danger, and didn't see a whole lot. I have my normal spots that I can hunt but was just thinking about mixing it up a bit this late season. Any help is appreciated. To those bow hunten this late season GOOD LUCK!!

No I'm talking about the Winston unit right on the edge of margeret, north of the highway.

you might get an elk but deer are hard to come by in the winston.

I actually saw more deer in there this year than in prior years. We passed on a 4 point buck at 30 yards early archery and he was snorting up a storm. I saw 3 bucks and 5 does one day, they are there. The last deer I harvested was in the winston, nice doe, came home with 57lbs of deboned butchered meat.
