Some of you have pictures that are to large so try to make them way smaller please.
This is Smokey's 09 bull. only went 30 yards and dropped. at 15 yards he put a seccond arrow in it. Both arrows were 1 inch apart.

2009 archery Rosie bull that I called in for my buddy.

Had to throw in some cows since that is all I can shoot. Starts 06, 07, two in 08, and a goose egg so far for 2009. Still got the late archery to keep the run going.

2009 British Columbia bull. Funny, this is exactly they way he died. We had to roll him over for pictures, then roll him back to this position to start gutting and butchering! Fun times!

2009, 2nd day spike, in spike restricted GMU. Bullet entry point visible
2008 sunshine & blue skies, 3pt bull after 6 days with any bull tag. Settled for 3 point instead of tag soup. Broke a couple points off going down the rocks. Bullet exit point visible, entry near front of opposite shoulder.
2007, 3rd day spike in spike restricted GMU. Bullet entry in back of head at 80 yards off-hand as the spike ran through the pine trees. That's why antler tipped2side, skull fractured.

2009 archery elk in the 329 unit

I wouldnt recommend that shot but looks like it was effective.

:yeah: :cue:

That is what happens when you take 103 yard shot. :bdid:

09 BULL

It isn't quite as he lays, but this is where my wife's first bull expired. Quite the fun deal to wrestle an elk out of the middle of a river.

This is the only picture I have of an elk as he lays. This is a spike I shot a few years back.

I know it say's as he lay's, but here's this year's cow. Still fun to look at... ;)
-
WSU , love that pic in the water . And those are some huge spikes on that thing. How did you get it out?
-
We drug/floated it over to a little island where we could get it out of the water a little. The bank was really steep everywhere, so we quartered it up on the island and packed it. The good part was that it was probably the cleanest elk to ever be quartered and packed out.
-
Here is one for ya!

Craig,
Where did that bull come from? Story?
-
Here's my early archery 09 bull. You can't tell by the picture, but he is suspended off the ground by those viney maples. It was really hard to get him out. I used the gutless method and trying to roll him over was impossible. I was alone and worked at it into the night and part way into the next day. I had a 1 mile pack uphill. But all the work was definetly worth it. I was the happiest fat guy on the mountain.
-
Some pretty cool pics guys

Found a different angle on my Canada bull!

Nice fat cow u got there
Thanks. Did you notice the one in the background....my buddy got one too. :IBCOOL:
-
Man I got to tell you all that I really enjoy all of your pictures... due to being in the military for the past 14 years I have missed most of the hunting seasons with numerous deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. I have yet to harvest a bull but seeing everyones on here keeps my dream alive to walk up on one laying there that I shot. Thank you!!!
-
Here's a bull a client of mine got in Oregon on Halloween of this year . And a couple more pics of him very happy. I never posted them before cause I didn't have all the field pictures. It was a great hunt!
-
A little graphic, but truly "as he lays". The arrow entered at a 45 degree angle and cut its way back out...the broadhead was poking out through the hide when we found him.
-
How about "As SHE lays!!".
Aint nothin' wrong with that one!
Gadwall.
-
Heres my 09 ML bull. Not the biggest but I wanted to get one under my belt before I trophy hunt.
-
They're all trophies!!
Nice bull.

NWBrew, I do see two cows in your picture. Cool! :cue:
