Title: Yakima?
Post by: 270Shooter on November 24, 2009, 04:51:38 PM: Anybody know if the yakima is worth fishing at all right now? I need to do something on thursday on my way up to ellensburg for thanksgiving. I was thinking about a little trout fishin' and looking for some bucks and rams.

:chuckle: well i don't fly fish, my dad does. I never got into it. So I'll just be usin a rooster tail or panther martin. Something like that.

sweet! I wonder if i should take the shotgun with me or not. To see if I can find some quail or chukars?

Good quail hatch, crappy chukar and even worse pheasant. If you were serious about birding I'd seek south on the Rez. If you are fishing, fish small. Can't remember if spin gear is allowed in the river above Roza or not....sorry, mostly flyfish.

I should be able to wade, i'll have chest waders, but I dont want to walk up in the hills with them on.

I would go to the REZ but I have to go to ellensburg for thenaksgiving, and I want to do something before I get up there.
