Took this old fellow opening day of late buck last year.... We got there a little late.... I was moving down the road very quickly.... Dad said he was going to book to this trail we go down.... I wanted to go to my clear cuts... But it was already 20 min after day light... So I cut into a cut about a 1/4 mile in... Stepped on a little rise on the edge of the road.... Saw him... Was trying to count points... Then it hit me.... :bash: It's any buck here... :chuckle: Dropped the bino's and threw the old 43 up... Found his chest.... BOOM!!!! Just as he was going in a drop about to be out of sight... :IBCOOL: 44 yds it what it ranged when Dad walked up... The game cart was very handy for this one.... One of the easiest deer I've ever got out.... Did a Euro mount on him... Wish I had some more pics... Can't seam to find them in any files... :'(

I usually hunt the Kitsap or Mason unit during late buck.... The old 43 is my trusty 243 Win... Been shooting it since I was 11... Most my mounts are at my Dad's in Puyallup... Got to go out there to take pics.... Getting a new house soon so I'll be able to bring them home.... :IBCOOL:
