Congratulations! Meat in the freezer!! Looks like a great shot! How about the story??

Not much of a story, left camp around 11:30 and was in my stand about 12:00pm. My stand was located 25 yards from a major intersection of two trails. I sat in my stand freezing my a** off in singe digit temp's until about 4:15pm, when 3 elk came up the trail, two cows and a calf. I came to full draw on the biggest cow but was shaking so bad ( due to the cold and excitement)  :chuckle: I had to let down to get my sh** together. They knew something was up by now, but didn't know what, so they just stood their looking under the stand. After about 30 seconds to a minute I was able to get my sh** together to make the 25 yard shot. I thought it was a good shot but wasn't sure until I found the arrow in the snow about 10 feet on the otherside of where she was standing, it was a complete pass through. I had a good blood trail, so I returned to camp to get help and shed some clothes, knowing the work was going to start. Returned about 1 1/2 hours later, to find she only went about 70 yards into the timber.  After pic's, field dressing and packing we were back to camp around 10:00pm. Had a stiff drink or 2 and hit the sack.
