Title: fiber optics
Post by: xwizard on December 04, 2009, 05:29:04 PM
Hello,I have a 50 cal knight bighorn. I'm wanting to experiment with different colors on my front sight. Does anybody know the dia. of the fiber optics? I don't really like the green, its kind of dull.

I recommend spending the fifty bucks and and getting the truglo front globe sight and ghost ring combo made for muzzleloaders.  The sight picture is huge so you can see the whole target and the front fiber optic is very small and bright.  I painted the back part of the globe sight neon green and it works awesome for lining up fast with no hesitation.  Do I sound like a salesman yet?

Do a search on cabelas for the truglo globe sight.  Scuff up the sight. Mask it off.  Use a white rattle can primer first and finish it off with some neon Seahawk green rattle can.  Truglo should have put a reference point coating on like this in the first place.
