My first offer would be '5 gallons of homemade blackberry wine'. :chuckle:
-
Do you mind saying what unit?
-
you have 3500 acres you are wanting to sell tresspass fees for others to hunt or you have 3500 acres you are trying to get onto with a tresspass fee? if its the first let me know what you want and what unit. i dont mind paying to play

Hello there! I'd say if it was in an any bull archery area , and had deer also and Turkeys...it might be worth a ten year lease for 5k to me...

i guess i just read it real fast :dunno: you wanna go elk hunting in Oregon next year with me bobcat? maybe he'll give us a package deal
-
I'd like to but don't know if I can afford it. Would want to look at the property first.
-
well yeah, unit and property would certainly need to be checked out. hey bone head maybe i could come down to the property for a coyote hunt to check it out and then we could talk elk?
-
This just makes me appreciate, and let's me know how fortunate I am that where I hunt is private but the land owner goes to my church and doesn't charge us a dime, and its a great hunting area, what some people charge or want for others to hunt, is mind-boggling to me sometimes, but If people are willing to pay, then go get that money I guess
-
What part of Eastern Oregon. There are quite a few acres that make up that part of the state (Northeast - South east - etc)
Thanks

Been there, hunted it, nice area! Lots of elk. Wish I lived there now.
I love Oregon! (I've lived in part of it).
Kill the cougars so the elk will live on!!!!!!!!!!!!!....oh ya, wolves too.

What kind of money are you looking for? How many people would sell trespass rights to? Lots of questions that you need to answer first. I am willing to pay, but I don't want to hunt with tons of people. PM me if you are serious. Maybe 4-5 hunt-wa members could make this happen if we were guarenteed we would not be stepping on tons of other hunters.
-
i may be in depending on certain things let me know if you get that pm jerbel
-
If it's any good, I would be willing to throw down some money.
-
no pm yet guys, but I will let you know if I get one.
-
come on bone head looks like you've got some interested guys on here (me included) what are you looking for?

Ukiah is a great area. Thanks. Will watch for more $ details from you.

Guys- Bone Head was just fishing to find out what you would pay. Didn't really sound like he was going to follow through especially after he said it was leased to him. I might be wrong :dunno:
-
very true i am fishing here to see what it'd be worth to some to be able to tresspass with a fee to hunt and am willing to do so for a group of 3 maybe 4 for the 1st or 2nd week of the archery season. also willing theres a late season mckay private lands cow hunt if anyone were to draw that tag willing to let tresspass also. its a wintering ground but the animals that are there now are local animals and get tons of migrating animals as well. sorry if the spelling is wrong in places in this note. p.m. me if anyone interested and merry xmas to you all

You can hunt 6 days on 5000 acres in the Hepner unit of Eastern Oregon for $1300 wall tent camp included. So I'd say around that price or a little less. Maybe $1000.
You might even think about $500 hunt fee with a $500-$750 trophy fee depending on the size of the trophy. I know alot of guy's that would pay a grand or more to kill a 6x6 bull but in this economy $500 and going home empty is easier to swallow than $1300 and going home empty. But if I could take a nice bull and pay for my success after word that would be an easy check to write.

ALOT OF THAT COUNTRY TOWARD THE RESERVATION HAS SPARCE TIMBER ON IT SO ALOT OF THE ACREAGE IS ATE UP BY GRASSLAND WITH A FEW PATCHES OF TREES. IF THE PROPERTY IS HEAVILY TIMBERED IT WILL HOLD MORE ELK. (NOTE)
UKIAH HAS SOME GREAT 260 INCH AND UP, BULLS IN IT.
-
no grass land on this property its all timber ground and a 335 and 358 bull came off this ground a year ago. on the heppner ground was that by chance battle creek outfitters lease if so i wouldn't pay them a cent id go out of state before id go to them. we use to lease 16,000 acres to them closer to 18 to 20,000 acres total if not more in the heppner unit a bunch of winers if you ask me. lets just not get me started on that bunch....
