Yep.  Its kind messed up in that they stocked each lake in the spring with 10,000 and 25,000 rainbow fry then killed them off in the fall.

from what i understand hog was one of the greatest ice fisheries around....guess they screwed that up...was there really that much tench in Hog??? and whats wrong with Bullheads and Perch???....I heard of some people going out to twin lakes by harrington and doing well...does anyone know about this???.... I have tried silver before but always seem like I get smaller fish there...still fun, but I would also like some quality......Hey machias, have you ever fished meadow lake right there by  where you live before through the ice?....If I could get permission from someone i would like to give it a whirl...just curious what could be lurking in there...I've seen lots of fish surfacing there before....figure theres probably at least perch in there some where...

I have 12 acres on Meadow Lake.  All I have ever caught is bullheads and carp.

Seen people fishing sullivan lake up north through the ice for burbot (fresh water ling cod) never done it myself but did see them catch a few.  During the summer when we're up at the cabin we night fish for em and they average about 22". Don't know what they were using but in the summer glow in the dark buzz bombs tipped with nightcrawler jigged right off the bottom.

Has the Coulee City marina produced much in the way of perch in the last two years, in spring 2006 we slayed the perch in the marina, 25 per person of course.  Since then I havent heard of the marina putting out that kind of quality.

Mardon Resort on Potholes Reservoir put in a new fishing dock this year. They installed aerators to keep it from icing up. You'll be able to fish open water around the dock all winter long. They have room specials on their website right now, I might go over there over Christmas break. They have pics of Walleye up to 12lbs. taken recently! :fishin: Dress warm!!!!
