I picked up a Savage 99E in 300 Savage today. It's well used, but in good enough condition for me. I've always wanted on in 358 Win, but this should work for now. The best part is that I got it for $275. :IBCOOL: Now I want to find an appropriate scope to give it a nice clasic look.

Find a good Weaver scope, in a small variable or fixed power, for that classic look.

A Leupold 2.5x20 will be perfect, great eye relief & eye box with enough power for the 300Sav. and plenty of FOV to make it the fast handling rifle the Sav. was meant to be.

This is a Weaver K-3 on a 99, the Leupold is a little more compact and just looks better and works better. A Weaver V-3 is a nice compact scope that would work well as is the Leupold VX-II 1x4x20

Leupold VX-II 1x4 on top rifle, Weaver V-3 on the bottom
