If you want to spend 500 I would get a foxpro. I don;t know what the newest model is but I know they are a quality product.

Foxpro. I've had mine 3-4 years and have had zero issues with it. I love it. The guys at customer service are awesome too. I had a hard time downloading sound files because my computer wouldn't "unzip" them. I completely lost the first soundpack they sent me and when I called a week later they sent it back out right away. I had the same problem again with the new pack so I called and they then took the time to walk me through it. I'll be upgrading as soon as this season is over. WooHoo!

FYI there's always Foxpros om sale here............ http://www.predatormastersforums.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=21&page=1

It might save you a few bucks. But keep in mind, if you order through them you pick you sounds. If you buy used and don't like the sounds on the caller you'll need to buy more. I think I just paid $25.00 for 16 or 18 sounds.

Let us know what you get.

I listened to Rick and got on predatorcalls.com and after reading Gutpiles posts ordered a fox pro 3 and it was 399.95 with 32 calls you can pick out. I got the battery pack for 29.95 and a carrying case for 29.95 and they put the calls on I wanted and said it would be here in two days. Sounded good to me. Good Luck.

How loud is that thing? It looks so small I wondered if it was loud enough.

Very loud!  It also has jacks for two external speakers, but I doubt I'll need them much.

It is fairly loud, but not loud enough for calling bears in some situations for me. For yotes and what not it is great.

That sp-55 speaker I got from foxpro doubles the volume.
