Title: SCI moose
Post by: boneaddict on December 16, 2009, 10:41:21 AM
I actually kind of like how SCI measures moose versus Boone.   They give credit for each tine length as well as palm.   I've seen some pretty cool moose with long tines.  Yes there are those that don't have palm, but then again they wouldn't get credit for it.

I agree.  I like that you get all the measurements, and no deductions.  It seems to be a better assessment of the size of the trophy.

Agree Bone.  And I too love long-tines on moose.  I think they look better with with a palm lined with tines vs. one with smooth bumps.  Just personal preference, and without question I'd shoot a non-book moose that had all those points over a book moose without.  Character wins over record books for me every time.
