Join a club.  Where you plan on fishing?  If you're looking at it for the money, better go NW BASS, Anglers Choice, FLW, or ABA..........and better have your game figured out ;)

ABA and NW bass both have tournies on Banks and Columbia. The only problem is if you join the circuits then you have to fish some other lakes to qualify for the final tournie. There are some clubs that throw some tournies on banks that are open.

here is a link to the bodies of water and the clubs, if they say open then anyone can fish them  http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/contests/2009contests.htm

They have not posted 2010 yet. Hope this helps. Are you fishing out of your own boat or as a non boater?

I just joined the Inland Empire Bass Club and am looking forward to fishing the tournies between March and October.  I'll be fishing as a non-boater though.

There is no opening day for a lot of  bass waters, alanger.  Go find a deep shelf on the Columbia, throw a dropshot, and be patient..............oh ya, and dress warm. :)

I have gotten some of my biggest bass this time of the year. Deep Deep water fishing nice and slow, just make sure that when you are pulling them up from the deep you know how to let the air out of them so they do not die. Get a hyperdermic needle it works the best.

NW Bass is a great tournament series. Lot's of good sticks out there, but definitely the best bass tournament series in the NW.

I loved to fish the delta this time of year..shallow to quick drop offs work a jig, or back then I loved the tarantula with a willow spoon, let it drop an retrieve just enough to move the blade.before flipping rods were made we used stiff stripper rods and a hair raiser jig,20lb test.fished out of a 12 foot gregor then dad made the jump.Bought  a monark mcfast boy we were crapping in tall cotton then
