having some problems with my SBEII. bought it a couple years ago, and has been working fine, only had problems cycling brother of heavy steel. on my last outing, it misfired almost every "second" shot. I was using Kent fast steel. hammer would drop, but no discharge, there was a dimple on every unfired round.
only theory i got going right now is that the bolt face may not cycle completely around, adding maybe a mm gap, allowing the hammer and pin to function/fire, yet not enough contact. any ideas?
i googled it a little, and observed one comment that the gun is the best single shot auto on the planet. Lol.
i forgot to add, i also shot federal high density rounds, and they cycled perfectly, so more to add to the mystery, hopefully a bad lot of Kent is to blame, as it has fuctioned fine for two years, and yes i clean it. Lol.

I have never had you problem. If I had to guess, I would agree that the bolt face is not completely rotating. If you are hunting the East side you might have a little sand in between the boltface and the bushing.

Never had a problem with mine. I know H20FOWLER has had some with his though. I am sure he will chime in here shortly.

MYSTERY SOLVED.... gun is fine, it's bad ammo. kent 3 1/2 BB. what sucks the most, is i have 8 boxes with the same lot number, got 'em at joes at halh off. i guess its a fair deal as almost half won't discharch, bad primers appearantly.

Lot of SBEII trouble this season. Glad mine is doing good. It is doing a great job of holding up the walls in my gun safe. When, not if, but when you are tired of hearing that *click* sound go out and buy a SX3 you will not be disappointed.

I won't buy Kent anymore for the same reason. I had a mossberg 500 that would fire everything I put through it and then I tried Kent. The ones that would cycle sometimes fired. They must be out of spec.

I like Kent but I am thinking Estate is the way to go.
