Short but sweet...
Oct 22nd and my dad bro and i were out on one of our last weekend hunts before muley season comes to a close... we all split up to overlook a giant canyon when my dad jumped (as he said a whale of a deer) right over the cliff into a thick draw.. my brother moved up one large hillside above us and my dad stayed put as i headed down the canyon to flush the buck up to one of them... I got to the bottom of the hillside and started up the other side when i looked out of the corner of my eye and he was standing broadside 75 yrds away looking at me... he gave me just enough time to squeeze the trigger of my 30 year old model 700 7mm... down goes 2009... i had more fun on this hunt than i have had in years... thank you to my brother and dad for another successful hunt...

Great looking deer. Thanks for sharing the pics. I am sure you will get plenty of guff for the pic with the gun pointed at you (I am certain it is unloaded at this point) and no orange ;). I think it is a great buck and an awesome time with family :).

How Dare You, Why would you shoot that ??? You were supposed to flush it out to your old man!!! (JOKING).
I hope my sons will do that same for me in about 12 yrs when they are old enough. Good Work!!!

Nice deer, it really is amazing how many areas in NE and N Central Wa. look the same, I looked at the pic and thought it was an area a couple hundred miles from there....

I used to have an old Husquavarna in a .270 win. Probably about the same age. Was the first gun I ever bought with my own money (I was 16). Got it at the Gunatorium in Spokane. Killed quite a few deer with that rifle. Should have kept it... :bash:
