Title: Binowraps

BINOWRAPS:
I’ve gained so much from this site I want to pass along a simple solution to
make glassing with binoculars less tiring. Some, such as my Zeiss 10x40B,
binoculars do not have a threaded hole to attach them to my tripod. ( I’ve
found I tend to cover the field better and glass longer using the binoculars on a tripod .)
What I’ve done is taken a length of elastic binding and adhered/sewed Velcro to it in the
appropriate locations.  Then I temporarily clamp the free end under the head of the tripod
and wrap the remainder around the binocs to firmly secure them to the tripod.
This is a light, quiet, cheap & packable mounting system which allows me to glass in
a more comfortable, stable way for those occations when binoculars  are preferable
over my spotting scope.  It can be quickly removed to attach camera, scope, etc.
