Title: Primer Question
Post by: shoot-em-dead on December 22, 2009, 04:54:00 PM: This summer I bought some No.9.5 M Magnum Rifle Primers made by Remington. I seen them on the shelf and thought they would work for my 300 win mag. I am finally sitting down and doing some reloading and I see that they do not say large rifle on them like my CCI boxes. Are they going to work or are they the wrong primers all together. I think they may be medium size so I will not try to load them yet.

I was in the Idaho Cabelas this summer and the guy said buy while we've got 'em. So I did. Anyways, would these work in .357 mag, .40 S & W, .45 LC and .45 auto?

Those will work for the .357mag. The .40 uses small pistol primers so I wouldn't use magnum primers. Both the .45's use large pistol primers.
