Just thought I'd post some pics. Just now got the pics transferd on to my home PC. I have been a member for a little while and I know how you folks like pics....big or small.

07' buck whitetail late season
This one is the vampire buck....you can't tell here but the skull mount looks pretty cool. I'll try to get the pics of the fangs up soon.

Thanks phool. I don't have the one from 06' on here yet....it was a nice big 5x5 or this year ( I think I only have one photo of it and I'm not sure where it's at. :chuckle:

This is Dirty Gus's 08" late modern whitetail......he hunts out of my camp every year. This was the last day last hour buck.

If he has upper canines like an elk, he is rarer than 1:100,000!

Nice! A Vampire deer. I have done a couple of those as euros. Most people will never know that they have one. I would say 90% of the little fangs are just under the gums. For those of you that kill a buck all you need to do is trim the gum off the roof of the mouth betweet the upper palat and the back rows of teeth. That is probably the only way you will ever know if you have one. I have had them with fangs on both sides and most with only 1.
I have only seen and heard of this trait in Whitetails. Would be curious to see if it is also present in Mule Deer and Blacktails.

The taxi that did the euro on my vampire buck told me he has seen only two on mule deer, both of which had only one fang.
