Title: Riverside's Eagles
Post by: tlbradford on December 28, 2009, 10:03:30 PM
Saw these guys at a WSDOT road kill dump site on the way home today.  The pecking order was Golden, Bald, crows, then the lowly magpie.  I would have loved to stay there a while but I had to be a good husband and follow the wife and kids home on some slick roads.  Otherwise you guys might have some better pictures.

Is that on Denniston-Chattaroy? If it is I drove by on the 23rd. Pretty cool to see. The boys really enjoyed it.

They were between Omak and Tonasket.  I could watch them all day.  Not really romantic when they are eating roadkill, but they are just amazing animals.

You really get a feel for how big they are when you realize that is the top of a power pole, not a little fence post.  I was wondering how many wrecks they have caused because people stopped in the highway.
