Title: Selecting an arrow rest. . .convert used bow from finger to mechanical release?
Post by: atomicjoe23 on December 30, 2009, 09:34:16 PM
I have not shot for ~15 years and was given a bow to use on permanent loan. . .the bow is set-up for finger release with a plunger style rest and I would like to use a release. I have heard, but do not know if it's true that I need a different type of rest to use a release.

How should I go about selecting an appropriate arrow rest?

Also how difficult is it to install a release loop. . .and where should it be installed on the bow string?

Thanks

:yeah:  especially if your planning on hunting with this bow. you owe it to the game you hunt to make sure your bow/equipment is as good as it possibly can be for clean and ethical kills. and the drive to federal way to see old dog and his partner there will be well worth it. they set me up and i came home and stated breaking golf tees at 30 yards.
