Title: Hunting on lakes
Post by: dirty.dan4 on January 01, 2010, 02:38:15 PM
I have tried to find out any info about hunting on some of the smaller lakes around Northern King and Snohomish county.  Does anyone know what the rules are?  I looked through the fish and game website and couldnt find anything saying that I cant.  I know that you have to be 500 yards away from a residence and I am not looking to hunt on heavily populated lakes.  If anyone knows anything please let me know.

Unless you are on private property or in city limits, I think you are fine to hunt the lakes.  500 yards seems a bit far.  I think it is less than that to hunt without permission but am not sure.  If you have permission, you can be right next to the house.

A call to the sheriff's office wouldn't hurt, though half the time I don't think they really know the laws either.   :(
