Here's photo #-4 The Winner will be the proud owner of the ElkNuts PlayBook! Just guess the correct distance this bull traveled after the shot! You can see he was hit a bit back but the Wensel Woodsman 3-bladed head severed the artery that runs just under the spine. On impact blood exploded from the wound & the bull bolted leaving a tremendous blood trail. The broadhead entered the bull under the spine but quickly changed direction & ended up anchored solidly into the spine in an upwards angle, the wooden shaft from a 58# bow was sheared off shortly after that. It was aprox a 30yd shot. My son called this bull & he came in screaming, I was amazed Clayton kept composure in such an intense call in & still made the shot, not the best shot but it got it done! (grin)
How far did this bull travel? You can see the shot placement in the photo here!

Here's 2nd photo for grins showing how far we drug this guy, it took all 3 of us to pull as hard as we could to get him to a spot to break him down! Look at the log crossing the stream between Paul Jr & Clayton in the background, that's where we drug him from! (grin)
Just a point of interest!

He had to bleed out pretty quickly with that shot. I would say by the size of the bull and the artery being severed, he traveled a whooping 55 yards
-
I'm gonna buck the trend and go with 200 yards

15 yards from where you shot him.

Looks like a strong bull. I thinks he made it to the creek and walked 3 miles. ;)

We have a Winner!!! HuntNfolk hit it on the nose with a 1/2 mile!!! Can you believe it? That bull sprayed blood down the entire mountain after the shot & no the broadhead in the spine didn't slow him down for a 2nd! The last 125yds or so he left very little blood as he was mostly bled out by then. We could see his tracks in the sand in the stream after close inspection right to where he layed up against that down-falled log. Yep, he went a 1/2 mile straight down the mtn!!! PM me your address & I'll get a PlayBook right out to you!
PM me for your PlayBook with your address!
Thanks everyone, still one to go!
