Thinking about heading out to the stillwater unit this weekend. Was there a few weekends ago for my first time- ponds were all frozen over, clear blue sky, didn't see much.
Anyone have any info on this unit? PM me if you're feeling generous today. :)
Thanks guys,
Mark

what do you want to know? it gets very crowded with hunters and there's usually not a ton of ducks. usually more than just a few vehicles parked at every parking area throughout the valley. i think at 1 point the weekend before last i counted 7 trucks at 1 of the stillwater parking areas.
it'd surely be better than staring at the TV or doing nothing, no doubt!!

haha very true about better than sitting at home. I was out there at the spot right before/after Fay Rd. and there was one other guy- he got a few shots off, I only saw a couple- didn't want to skybust.
Set up my deeks on of the back ponds, nothing really came in. Any other options around there?

Scouted Stillwater today. Didn't see a single bird! NOT ONE! I'm on strike until late December.

I was up there recently and saw the geese doing their thing but the duck hunting is minimal.

If you ask me those areas are only good for jumpshooting in the evening after everbody gives up, then you might pull a couple ducks if your lucky.
