Title: What's your best decoy paint jobs?????
Post by: h2ofowlr on January 08, 2010, 08:29:46 PM
I see the pics from time to time, but wanted to see some picks of your best new paint jobs or touch-ups on your decoys.  If I can't use a rattle can, I usually don't paint them.  I have the more autistic abilities with painting than the artistic.   :chuckle:

Here are some brant decoys I am working on.  They are a work in progress.  I painted some white bars instead of a white patch on side.  I will try them this way and change them up that night if I have to.

so far i have been able to keep the main bodies good,no pics but i found that flocking the heads has worked  well and looks more realistic,i have green ,black, white. the birds dont seem  to mind, though i do place old socks on the heads to protect them.
