Hey all,
Heading over to Fish Lake for our annual Ice fishing trip and wondered if anybody had an ice report for the lake...
Thank you in advance!

I've been watching the webcam, and there has been a lot of people fishing it the last few days. We're heading over next weekend to give it a shot.

We're looking for whatever bites. :chuckle: None of us has ever ice fished and we want to give it a whirl.

Try the cove right next to the boat launch area...walk out to the middle of the cove and drop down, powerbait, salad shrimp or pieces of prawns..We allways do pretty good. You will see a ton of folks out a ways that are pearch fishing...They use the pearche eyes as bait and pull in tons of them...Looks like fun to catch but im interested in a fat bow or brown.

Thats a fun trip, been years since I icefished on that lake. I remember the last trip it was snowing like a bugger years ago. We were out fishing on the ice and noticed that the water level on the ice kept rising at it kept snowing. Finally realized that there was so much snow it was pushing the ice on the lake down! Decided time to leave!
Coming out there was a snowslide and took us with about 15-20 others 4 hours to hand dig our way out all the while looking up at that steep hillside hoping another one did not come down on us. Adventures afield, good times!
