Title: Any opion on....
Post by: gasman on January 21, 2010, 07:05:20 PM: A buddy of mine is looking at trading his Taurus Millenium Pro .40 cal for a Astra A-100 .45ACP.

What do you think about the trade?
Is it worth it?

Any opions on the best way to go, he is looking to trade straight across.

I don't own one or have experience with them. To the best of my knowledge, Astra is out of business. I'd stay clear since there's really no aftermarket for them. And no, they aren't a Sig or quality copy of. Similar, but not the same.

The Millenium pro is at least a dependable carry gun. (I'm not a plastic gun fan... But still...)

I would not consider that an equal trade at all.

Post by: Mookie on January 22, 2010, 01:57:38 AM: Taurus all the way. The last few years the quality has gone WAY up. All the negatives are from old timers when Taurus reputation was spotty at best. I sold my 24/7 and still regret it. That was a nice feeling gun and super reliable.
