Anybody know anything about this place? Anybody a member? Any info would be helpful, thanks guys. Have a good last weekend.

yes please I want to know too. Right now I have it down between Deadmans and the Family Hunting Club in Othello. Anyone know that place? They both charge about the same, but Othello is an hour if not two closer to me, they also offer a $400.00 friend pass so I can take as many guest as I want one at a time. Ans they havd quail, dove, ducks, geese and chucker. They also release a few birds too.
Both clubs look like they have some great points

Cash, forgot to mention that there is a thread called something like Tough Day hunting last day of the season or something like that, just a few below this thread. Anyhow the guy that started the thread is a member of Deadmans

I think the difference would be that Deadmans would have a lot more wild birds than the one in Othello, if that matters to you. Also, much, if not most, of the ground you hunt at Deadman Creek is very steep, while around Othello it's much easier walking.

terrian will be a huge difference, deadman you are going to be hunting BIG rolling hills, around othello more agriculture land that is much flatter.

I tried Family Hunting Club in 2008. It's pretty much a good old boy's club. The old timers and locals get the good hunting grounds, the new people are pretty much there to pay the lease for the old timers, in my opinion. Once or twice I got a good piece of land to hunt, but far more often was assigned to a potato farm or some other things where pheasants don't live. Deadman's Creek is cheaper- $750 in 2009, Family Hunting Club was $1200. I wanted to try Deadman's Creek this past season but broke my foot. Will probably try them next year- you can pay for a day or two at a time to try it.

Back in the early '90's I used to hunt the wheat fields of what is now Deadman's Creek. You could sign up to get one of those Hunting by Written Permission yellow cards they used to give out in the Central Ferry store. They wouldn't let you hunt deer but you could hunt birds all you wanted. I shot a ton of pheasants there - all wild at the time. I don't know if they're planting there now. Lots of wide open wheat fields with some good, steep draws and I did well late when I could find steep hillsides covered in wild rose. Lots and lots of long walks. I'm really hardcore into big game now, but if I ever decide I want to get serious about birds again, I would consider it - at least go over for a couple of days and check it out.

Haven't hunted either, but having hunted the basin and the palouse, I think you'd be crazy to join a club in othello for upland birds. Deadman is in a neat area away from all civilization with good numbers of wild birds. Having grown up in the basin the bird numbers have decreased something fierce in the past 10 years I wouldn't pay anyone anything for uplands game there.

I started out hunting on the Palouse when I was in college. We usually got birds, and didn't have a dog. I have great memories of the Palouse. I wish it wasn't such a long haul to get there.

Between Riley's and Klaveano's - that is some of the best hunting and prettiest ground around. You won't find better bird hunting in WA. I would join, but I got my own little slice of heaven about 2 miles up river ;)

I used to hunt it back then as well. One of my buddies at WSU was friends Bill's daughter. Lots of great land to hunt and lots of birds. I hunted down on the bar this year and we saw over 100 birds that day. Most of them were on Deadmans creek land.
