Here are some geese I captured while kayaking on Sammamish about 2 years ago. I liked it cause they look like they are walking on water.

Late hike outs from the QIN nations Silver streams during the Fall can reward you with sun sets like these! Whale creek meets the ocean. 3 miles south of the Queets mouth.
One of my favorite places in the world. Pristine!
-
SWEET pictures already guys. I can see this is going to be another banner contest this month.
Yeah Miles, I bet we can see some water pics then as all the roads wash out. Maybe the drought is over.

My favorite two things, maybe not at the same time but Brown Bears and the Russian River....
-
These little guys are the coolest! Sea Otters saying hello!
-
Looks like the Russian is running pretty clear there. Last time I saw it it was muck. I had all these dreams in my head about that one, and I think the Copper. Both pretty dissappointing. Both really silted up, almost like the toutle was after Mt St Helens blew.
-
The Copper is a glacier river and always nasty fast looking, mainly dip netters for fishing and fish wheels, quite the dangerous river for certain, big boats and power is needed most of the time, but the shear number of fish that utilize it is amazing. If you want a very good time put in a float on it mid Oct, if it isn't starting to freeze, you'll see bears at almost every sand bar thriving on old salmon carcasses washed up on the back side of the bars. On the other hand the the Russian is a mountain fed river and a feeder river to the Kenai, the only reason it would have dirty looking is probably a couple days after a major rain, it is normally crystal clear and running well. Fishing the Russian is awesome, I like it after the tourist go home (I guess I'm one of those now) and the Reds (Sockeyes) are really RED, just for catch and release or try for specific big fat Rainbows lurking below the salmon thriving on the eggs. Not uncommon to catch 40-50 a day and toss in a few big rainbows, well satisfaction guaranteed. Lots of bears, especially up by the falls.... And of course the two resident cubs in the picture (momma is dead along with one of the cubs) that now are full grown that run up and down into everyones, fishing stuff and bags... Sooner or later someone will take them out as they get too comfortable with being around people...

Hey jacklope, I wanna see it...... anyway I was in boat watching david guy from my work reeling his first dorado then all sudden my Guide saw another and grab another fishing pole and threw a live fish on ANOTHER dorado was chasing David's fish and then my dorado bite a fish bait and the guide gave it to me so both of us reeling hard on two dorados, One of mine have flew up and in and flew up fliping like crazy but AWSOME! and then the hook came off OHH NOO.... So david still fight with his dorado about 10 min later finially almost surface of water and I saw again same another dorado was one I lost was following David's doardo and wouldnt leave it so Guide tried threw new live fish and keep David fish down so another dorado can stay around with it. My fish wont bite at all DANG :bash: so I told him the guide to allow me make a snag so I build my own snag quickly and threw down then again threw down then PULL HARD got snagged on tail OOPS! :chuckle: it was hardest thing to pull with snagg on rear tail. WHEE it took me about HOUR and half to get my fish out of water. It was blast time.
u see a spot that snagged below by tail :dunno: :chuckle:

Almost look like that thing off highway 2.

My "Oldtimers" disease taxes my memory sometimes. It is way up and off of Donkey Creek road. I'll probe my GPS files for a better location. BTKR and his Dad were with me and he might remember sooner than I find it.

Ang I took that picture down at Kayak Point Park with you and Mel. Really guys we do not sit in the living room talking to each other on the computer, I am stuck at the office trying to fix a computer that someone let in a virus.

I'm glad I am not the only one. Hell, these days half of my communication with my Dad is through this site. Nice pics Dave.

Sunrise Lake is one of my favorite places on earth.

Up near Pete's Creek Trail
-
How funny. I was about 15 I guess and was fishing from shore. I went to head back to camp and there was a beaver in the trail barring the way. He would not budge. Stood his ground gnashing his teeth. Now I realize this is a funny picture, but a pissed off beaver is something to reckon with. Thanks for the memory.
-
Can the Photo of the Month be from a Trail Cam? Here ya go!!!
-
Nice pic Slider! I think that one of the prettiest trail cam pics I've seen. Kudos
-
wow!! That is a sweet trail cam pic!!
-

-

-
Ya it does, thanks!! I'm not very savy at the photo thing yet! :dunno:
-
I went to Cannon beach this weekend.
-
I ain't too fond of fishing -- everything always seems to go wrong when I try it :chuckle: -- but a couple buddies were drifting the Clearwater River (tributary of the Queets) for steelhead on Saturday and had room, so I tagged along to take pics. Not an overly scenic area, but I love riverside alders in the winter for some reason.

Hey Gunner, Red Dawg, MikeXRay and anyone else, nice pics guys but if you want them entered into the contest they need to be no bigger than 800x600. They wont consider them if they are larger, just an FYI ;)

Well I would If I new how. I'm pretty lame at this picture thing. If anybody knows how to make it smaller, I'm all ears!! :dunno:
