Yeah, I wish!
...someday...
-
anyone who feels like buying that goat tag for me feel free i would not mind.
-
Actually the goat tag does not sell for much more than a hunt in BC or Alaska and sometimes for less. Last year $8500 some years $6000. and you get 4 months to hunt here with it.
-
i know but that is a pretty penny still would love to draw one but the odds aint the best maybe someday.
-
I wish I had the funds to at least bid ole Jim up for the good cause. I have a feeling if he wants a tag, he gets the tag. LOL Pretty much the best buy for an auction tag.
-
Yeah, that is not a bad price for a Mtn Goat to be honest, especially with four months to hunt them.

Ya, I wonder if Jim is gonna try it again this year. Rumor was that he got close to a monster last year, but ended up eating his tag.
-
yep Jim ate the tag and not the first one he has ate either. He has a great time out there and puts alot of time into. I bet he was looking 60 days at least last year and did see some dandy goats.
-
jim?

Jim Cook has had several of the governor's tags in this state and others over the past few years. He called me last year to ask about what we had been seeing for goats. He seems like a pretty decent guy, but I only talked to him on the phone. Bear

I sure have thought about it pretty hard, but the economy has whooped my butt the last 4 months and it doesn't look good in the future either. I think that tag would be the best chance for putting a goat in the books in the lower 48.

you guys dont want that tag.it cost way too much ;) some day it will be mine..........

For those that are interested the Washington Auction Moose Tag only sold for $10,000 and the Westside Blacktail Auction Tag sold for $4500 on Saturday. This is half of what they have sold for the last few years so maybe you might get a good deal on the remaining tags that go up at this event. For sure if you want to go to Africa you can get a really good deal too.
-
Im surprised the moose went for so little..
Any idea why? There are clearly people who can afford it around???
-
Apparently any auction needs 2 people that want something and the more you want it, I guess the more you pay. This state will eventually kill the new record providing the wolve's don't get them 1st.
-
agreed!

Only in my dreams. If I ever win the lotto....
-
No kidding. If I had 10, I'd be across the border to complete the Trad slam.
