Well the first thing you need to do is LEAVE WHIDBEY ISLAND NOW!!!! That is the first step then drive east about 2 1/2 hours then start knocking on farmers doors I would suggest the Pulman area or the columbia basin/Yakima valley. My folks live on whidbey and you have no chance of shooting any thing out there I think the people out there feed the frigin varments. You will find only problems on the west side of the state (sorry westies) they are very liberal on that side.

I know it's more that 2 1/2 hours to Pulman. I was just saying that long to get out of the liberal wonderland and get to good coyote hunting. I know I know everyone on the west side will say they have great coyote hunting over there. I just have one question how come people fromthat side are always asking about hunts over here. Unless you go way south of Olympia I just don't see you killing anything over there. I would love for some of you guys to prove me wrong I would love to know our state is not yet The Peoples Republic of Washington I think it is and people are still able to get out and hunt.

Close to Whidbey Island: Mt. Baker National Forest, Snohomish River (coons), Weyerhaeser Snoqualmie Tree Farm, Skykomish River, Skagit River, Nooksack River. Try also asking sheep ranchers. With spring around the corner the lambs will be dropping soon, with all that afterbirth and bleeting the yotes will be drooling for any easy meal, and if i recall, there are quite a few sheep ranches off Hwy. 2 around the monroe area. good luck and watch your back, the cougars on the Wet Side are sneaky and like to follow hikers. But remember they like the flavor of tofu so their diet usually consists of liberals.

thats pretty funny. well i will start looking around. im leaving soon for the desert again but when i get back, its on. if anyone wants to share any good spots i would appreciate it. if not, i understand. i dont want to step on toes....

Post by: patton1 on February 08, 2010, 08:20:11 PM: I'm stationed on Whidbey too. I've been trying to get into coyote hunting on the island with no luck so far. They are all over this island it's just hard to find a spot to hunt. I did get permission to hunt for blacktail on the island and got a nice 4x4 but that spot is only for deer hunting. I actually talked to a guy tonight who knows of some good spots on the mainland but he is about to head out on cruise so we are going to give it a whirl when he gets back. He mentioned Ellensburg but I haven't looked into it yet. If you find anything out let me know, maybe we can get something together. I'll be sure to do the same.

:yeah: PM me if your gonna be over in the Tri-Cities area....might be able to get you on some dogs out in some private land we have permission on.
