Title: Pronghorn lovers...
Post by: popeshawnpaul on February 03, 2008, 07:25:30 PM: With all the negative mojo going on in the politics section, I thought I would post something a bit more mellow. This photo reminds me of the first time I went to Montana. It was in high school around '92 and I had an old Olympus 35mm camera with a 150mm lens. This pronghorn was not scared of me at the Bison Range and provided a number of nice photos. Grainy old 400 speed film worked, but I wish I had my 40D for this shot... Anyone else have a favorite pronghorn shot?

I had to read this for a second time cause I thought you said it was surreal and looks like you are staring past the antelope pictured in the field. :DOH:

Thats almost as bad as talking politics on here. Elk tastes better, so thats what we brought home. The only antelope I have eaten tasted like crap, and had the consistency of shoe leather. Otehrs swear by it. I'll stick to eating moose.

I wish I could have got some pics at a couple of different angles because this picture doen't do this buck justice....He was a dandy! Unfortunatly, we were tagged out and on our way to the meat processor.
