Title: Quick Stow Rod Rack???

I've been looking for quite some time for a rod rack to put into my boat and I think I've found the perfect item.
Does anyone out there have one of these and if so how do you like it?

My father- in-law has one of these and I hate it.  It is right in the middle of the boat and takes up a ridiculous amount of space.  Difficult to cast around, when not trolling. 
He doesn't like it either unless we are just storing rods in the boat while parked in the garage or pulling the boat out of the water. 

I suppose it would make a difference depending on where it is mounted and how big the boat is, but I am talking about 16 1/2 hewescraft on a narrow beam, so take it for what it is worth.
