Title: shooting
Post by: redroket on March 04, 2010, 11:17:27 AM
I am new to Muzzleloader hunting. I have a custom made 451 Whitworth that I have shot 3 times. I have several 490 and 500 grain conical bullets which seem to work well. It seems to be very accurate but I need to shoot it more and find someone to tell me what I am doing wrong or right. Is there any Muzzleloader ranges in the Arlington/Everett area? I am thinking of using it for hunting this year if I can shoot it enough to get more at ease with it.
Thanks for any information given.

Marysville gun club - I think their rifle range is members only.

Kenmoore range in Bothell - They have a public 50y and 100y range.

Hey Red welcome to the site!! Tell us a little about yourself.

Well, I moved back to Washington in 2001 and have hunted here for the last 4 years. I have yet to see a legal buck or Elk alive? In the late 80s and the 90s I mostly hunted Montana, Wyoming and Idaho with a couple of hunts in Alaska mixed in and all modern firearm. I hunt with my brother and his friend which is good as they have excellant equipment, (packers tent ect.) I do wish the hunt times here in Washington were changed a bit so we actually had hunting weather! At my age though it is fine just to go camping and walk through the woods heavily armed.
