Anyone ever make you own swivel stix or bi pod system that works well?  Any suggestions or ideas?

I made a few steady stix.... I have a set made out of green plastic coated gardening (tomato) stakes, 4' long.... I slid a wood dowel into each at the top foot of the tube..., so when I drilled thru each to place a small machine screw....they would not crush... Turned out nice. I wrapped them with camo duct tape...  Here is the only pic I have of it....

I converted an old camera tripod. Kinda works good.  Adjustable height, swivel 360 degree around and swivel in elevation.  Painted it flat black and away I went.  Made a saddle for the gun to screw where the camera usually goes.

I used some home made shooting sticks that I made from old fiberglass dome tent poles, and castration bands for awhile.  They don't "swivel" very far, but I could move my rifle side to side, and up and down, in them further than I could lean most of the time.  I've kind of gone away from shooting sticks, and am going with the mono-pod due to the brush where I hunt most.  I'm going to just buy a good one when I find it.  Don't really like any of the ones I've tried yet.  Using a trekking pole with a camera adapter JB Welded on it right now.

I made a set of sticks out of carbon arrows (old school tiny guys) and used 21xx aluminum for the joints. I ran shock cord through them and added surgical tubing to the feet and top for non slip action. I used a 3/4" long piece of fuel hose for the pivot. the s-tube on top can be left in one piece to build a bridge so the gun can be picked up and moved in a hurry......overall pertty good setup, although I prefer shooting off my pack these days if I am not hauling a harris. the weight of this setup is about what you would expect 4 arrow shafts to weigh
