Had a customer from AZ who didn't want a plain jane Mountain Lion whistle to go along with his CD...
I had this nice piece of Morrell. I wondered what I'd band it with. Then I had a wild hair...
"How about I band it with.... ITSELF!"
(Sold.)

pretty cool! I'd love to see the process of making a call like that. how many hours?
-
Lots of start/stop/start/stop when you're dealing with boring, turning, honing, sanding, aclimating, resanding, vacuum chambering, resanding, oiling, resanding, buffing, & finishing, etc.
But all tallied, probably about 3 hours with my hands on the call... over about 3 days.
The lathe work, including the banding was probably 40 - 50 minutes.

Man thats a nice looking call Steve, nice job!
